The following rules and policies apply to the items that we will post:

•    This website and associated blog does not provide medical advice or psychological counseling or advice.  The site information contained is general in nature and is intended for use as an educational tool and reference.

•    The purpose of the website and associated blog is to focus on partner communications during the pregnancy or pre-adoption period.  ViaCord prefers to keep the topics related to the purpose of the blog.  Commenters agree not to post any content that contains business solicitations of any type.  ViaCord may offer links to some other websites.  While many of these links will be to websites with whom we have no commercial or other relationship, some links will be to sites where we have purchased advertisements.

•    These communications will not focus on, but may include discussions concerning cord blood banking.  To the extent that cord blood banking is mentioned, our focus is on the ViaCord offering, therefore we will not post or comment on our competitors’ offerings, however there may be discussions on public cord blood banking and private cord blood banking, in general.

•    Commenters are prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane content.  Commenters are also asked to refrain from posting any content that contains personal information or that violates the privacy of any other individual or entity or anything that the commenter is under a contractual obligation to keep private or confidential.

•    Any content that is transmitted to the website will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary.

•    Although ViaCord may review postings to the blog, ViaCord is under no obligation to do so and assumes no responsibility or liability arising from the content of any postings, including links to other sites, or for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger or inaccuracy contained in any information within the postings or linked websites. ViaCord assumes no responsibility or liability for any actions or communications by commenters or any unrelated third party within or outside of this blog.
